To say Caroline and Alitza Weiss have a toxic relationship would be understatement. Police have been called to the Weiss home multiple times in the past decade with Alitza being charged with assault each time.

Court records show police arrested Alitza Weiss 9/6/2017 and 12/4/2019 for assaulting her mother. Yet, each time Caroline has declined to press charges.

However on Saturday, March 1, 2025, Miami-Dade Police arrested Alitza Weiss for a third time for assaulting her 87-year-old mother. People close to the family say the altercation stemmed from two things. Alitza’s substance abuse issues and family finances.

Caroline Weiss allegedly informed Alitza that she was cutting her off financially. Family friends say Caroline had been financially supporting her daughter for nearly three decades after the death of her father Jack Weiss in 1995.

Alitza Weiss claims to be a real estate agent. However, family friends say they don’t believe she ever sold a house. She spends her time lounging by her mother’s pool and living off her mother’s money stashed in Panamanian bank accounts and in the mattresses in their Coconut Grove home.

Caroline Weiss Family Soap Opera A fed up Caroline Weiss finally snapped. She allegedly told her oldest daughter, “Why can’t you be a successful lawyer like your sister, Adeena?”

Of course, Adeena is Caroline Weiss’s estranged daughter, Adeena Weiss-Ortiz. Weiss-Ortiz is a well established Chicago lawyer. Weiss-Ortiz also made headlines in Miami when sued her mother for deed fraud in 2014. The case is still pending over a decade later in a Miami court room.

Naturally, Caroline’s comments set off the uncontrollable violent rage of the mentally unbalanced and inebriated Alitza. Police reports also say Alitza beat her mother to a bloody pulp. As a result, paramedics rushed Caroline Weiss to the hospital and police arresting Alitza.

Thankfully Caroline Weiss is out of the hospital. However, Alitza Weiss’s whereabouts are unknown.
